About the Fred Astaire Dance Studio
When you hear dance – what comes to mind? There is hip-hop, jazz, line, tap, group, contra, belly and ballroom dancing to name a few.
Dance seems to be a lot like ice cream flavors…it’s so hard to choose just one. If you are thinking of trying out a new dance style, there may be a few you haven’t even considered. There are many fun types of dance; you may need to sample a few to find your favorite.
Our specialty of dance is ballroom –which refers to a set of partner dances, which are enjoyed both socially and competitively around the world. Because of its performance and entertainment aspects, ballroom dance is also widely enjoyed on stage, film, and television.
There are many benefits of ballroom dancing – all from having fun, building friendships and confidence, getting creative and the obvious for health. Dance can be a great hobby and it will provide you with a new lifestyle, filled with excitement and friendships.
Here at Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Charlotte, we accept all levels from beginners to advanced with several options of programs to get involved in – all being customized for you. The Fred Astaire Beginner Program is the natural progression for the beginner dancer from the Introductory Program.
